Together, these items comprise the core functionality of the Assai software, upon which the advanced functionality builds. Assai’s solution is build for various roles within projects, of which document controllers, engineers, project planners and project managers can be considered key users.

Functieomschrijving HR Manager

The HR Manager defines, creates and implements all national and international Human Resource policies and processes. You are proactively responsible for translating the business (international growth) strategy into Human Resource strategy and you ensure that strategies align with objectives. You optimize organizational effectiveness and development through HR-policies, activities, and instruments (e.g., performance management, talent management (L&D), succession planning, salary review, recruitment, etc.).

As the HR Manager you provide an employee-focused, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, and productivity.

You are a part of the day-to-day management team of Assai and you manage a small HR-team in the Netherlands and the management of HR-partners abroad.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely together with our management team, works councils and HR-team and external HR-partners about topics such as payroll, workplace health and safety and recruitment, in all offices worldwide.

Management and Strategic Advisor

  • managing, coaching, developing and motivating the employees in the Human Resources department;
  • develops a vision with regard to the area of expertise and has an understanding of the strategy and objectives of the organisation, knows the developments in its own area of expertise and knows translating these into the strategy(plan) and objectives of their own department;
  • proactively translates the chosen strategy and objectives into the consequences and impact on business operations within its own area of expertise and translates this into advice;
  • supports and guides management on both content and process levels during change and/or reorganization projects within its own area of expertise;
  • monitors and signals indicators from its own area of expertise, proactively implements analyses, trends and developments in the market and translates them into solutions and involves the HR-team in this;
  • analysing and evaluating existing strategies, policies, and procedures, and reforming them;
  • ownership of all topics involved in the employee journey worldwide;
  • responsible for (international) recruitment and staffing (strategic planning);
  • performance management which includes advising on salary and other remuneration issues, career path development and education.

Quality and policy tasks

  • responsible for compliance with regulatory affairs, such as internal and external audits, and survey’s regarding employees;
  • responsible for up-to-date HR tools and (international) administration requirements;
  • contributing to a healthy corporate culture that supports growth and equal opportunity;
  • keeping abreast of government regulations and public policies and accordingly amending company policies;responsible for an appropriate and up-to-date remuneration policy and associated employee incentive plans;
  • always acting as an excellent brand ambassador and change agent.

Functievereisten HR Manager

  • HBO-education or higher, preferably on HR-discipline;
  • English is the primary language;
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • knowledge and insight on labor legislation and immigration laws, audits (e.g. statutory audits), and personnel information systems;
  • project management skills;
  • when managing internal and external contacts, strong advisory skills, tact, empathy, listening, helpfulness, and persuasion are important. The ability to motivate and engage others is also crucial. Tact and creativity are needed to resolve disagreements and balance different interests;
  • orderliness and systematics apply in view of the large number of interrelated matters where overview and accuracy are important, as well as in the execution of administrative tasks;
  • integrity and reliability are required when working with (privacy-sensitive) data and/or sensitive business information;
  • open, curious and tolerant attitude towards different cultures and backgrounds.

Praktische informatie

Hours: 32 - 36 hours per week
Location: Culemborg, working from home is possible 1 or 2 days per week
Business travel: yes, sometimes
