As our HR Advisor, you guide and support management in shaping and implementing HR policies. You handle HR administration and address organizational development challenges. Your role helps drive Assai’s goals and ambitions. You will work closely with the Head of People, HR Assistant, and external payroll and recruitment partners across global offices.
In this role, you will be essential in aligning the right talent with the right roles at the right moment. You’ll offer strategic guidance on HR policies and manage daily personnel operations, fostering a productive and positive work environment. From hiring and onboarding to talent growth and beyond, you’ll be a central support figure in our HR team.
Your day to day:
- You advise, coach, support and guide management and employees in the implementation of HR-polices, local and international laws and regulations and (individual) operational issues worldwide
- You help to further develop and implement the annual HR cycle
- You implement and monitor sick leave and related policies, recruitment and selection activities, etc. and while doing so, taking into account current legislation and regulations for the specific country
- You are co-responsible for drafting, optimizing and keeping up to date a thorough HR-policy, business rules, protocols, work instructions, HR-manual and employment contracts
- You contribute to the creation of management information and/or reports, for the purpose of monitoring HR objectives or projects and, if necessary, you set out targeted actions in this regard
- You actively participate in our HR projects
- You make a positive contribution to the professionalization of HR in terms of appearance, attitude and behaviour
- You need both an understanding of strategic HR policies and a hands-on approach
- You contribute to an employee-centric high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, and productivity
- You help to ensure proper compliance with and enforcement of labour- and visa laws and regulations worldwide
Functievereisten HR Advisor
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably on HR-discipline
- Fluency in both Dutch and English
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Knowledge and insight on Dutch labour legislation and immigration laws and personnel information systems
- A “can-do” attitude with a strong sense of ownership
- Availability for at least 32 hours
- Strong advisory skills, tact, empathy, listening, helpfulness, and persuasion are important. The ability to motivate and engage others is also crucial
- Open, curious and tolerant attitude towards different cultures and backgrounds
