With their roots in the oil & gas sector, Assai has expanded into other complex industries such as transport, mining and utilities. They support complex projects from start to finish with their document control and document management solution. Their graphical drill-down capabilities also support asset information management. Together, these items comprise the core functionality of the Assai software, upon which the advanced functionality builds. Assai’s solution is build for various roles within projects, of which document controllers, engineers, project planners and project managers can be considered key users.

Functieomschrijving HR Advisor

The HR Advisor advises and supports the management in the execution, development, implementation, safeguarding of the HR-policy and its administrative processing, as well as in issues relating to (organizational) development, in order to contribute to the realization of the Assai ambitions and objectives.

Working closely together with the HR Manager, HR Assistant and external payroll and recruitment providers in all offices worldwide.

Advisor and sparring partner

  • Advises, coaches, supports and guides management and employees in the implementation of HR-policy, laws and regulations and (individual) operational issues worldwide;
  • Informs and instructs employees and management with regard to HR-procedures, policies, resources and/or instruments;
  • Contributes to the compilation and implementation of an annual HR-cycle;
  • Supports and guides management at both content and process level in change and/or rightsizing processes from their own area of expertise;
  • Is able to mediate in situations and bridge conflicting interests, for the benefit of healthy business operations and working environment.

Quality tasks and administration

  • Implements and monitors sick leave and related policies, recruitment and selection activities, etc. and while doing so taking into account current legislation and regulations for the specific country;
  • Performs a variety of administrative and organizational activities in the field of HR/payroll;
  • Co-responsible for drafting, optimizing and keeping up-to-date a thorough HR-policy, business rules, protocols, work instructions, HR-manual and employment contracts;
  • Contributes to the creation of management information and/or reports, for the purpose of monitoring HR objectives or projects and, if necessary, sets out targeted actions in this regard;
  • Participates in work meetings and in project- and working groups in a specific area of interest;
  • Keeps track of recent developments within their own area of expertise and shares relevant knowledge with the organization;
  • Makes a positive contribution to the professionalization of the department in terms of appearance, attitude and behavior;
  • Contributes to an employee-centric high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, and productivity;
  • Helps ensure proper compliance with and enforcement of labor- and visa laws and regulations worldwide.

Functievereisten HR Advisor

  • HBO-education or higher, preferably on HR-discipline;
  • English is the primary language;
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge and insight on Dutch labor legislation and immigration laws, audits (e.g. statutory audits), and personnel information systems;
  • Project management skills;
  • When managing internal and external contacts, strong advisory skills, tact, empathy, listening, helpfulness, and persuasion are important. The ability to motivate and engage others is also crucial. Tact and creativity are needed to resolve disagreements and balance different interests;
  • Orderliness and systematics apply in view of the large number of interrelated matters where overview and accuracy are important, as well as in the execution of administrative tasks;
  • Integrity and reliability are required when working with (privacy-sensitive) data and/or sensitive business information;
  • Open, curious and tolerant attitude towards different cultures and backgrounds.

Hours: 32 hours per week
Location: Culemborg, working from home is possible

It is important that you live in and have a work permit for The Netherlands. We will not accept applications without this requirement.
A base salary indication (defined skills and experience) would be between 35-55 K gross annually, this includes 8% holiday allowance but is excluding a variable bonus (maximum 1 month gross).
